Darby Library is proud to announce a new program starting in November, “1000 Books Before Kindergarten”
“1000 Books Before Kindergarten” is a library program that encourages all families and caregivers to read 1,000 books with their young children before they enter kindergarten.
This program was made possible by a $5000 Grant from Literacy Access Fund. This organization, supports the public library as a community learning hub and a vital extension of the classroom and awards grants to underfunded public libraries to increase equal access to early literacy skills for young learners.
