1000 Books Before Kindergarten

There is something new at the Darby Library!

“1000 Books Before Kindergarten”

Starting November 1, stop in the library and sign-up for this great challenge.

The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books) before your precious one starts kindergarten.

When you sign-up, we will get you started with a free book, and a sheet to keep count of the books you have read. Make your own book cover to place on the Road to Kindergarten.   Stop at the Circulation desk after each 100 books read.  Receive a sticker and move your book on down the road.
